On October 9, 2018, to avoid the incorrect reduction of tax obligations, SUNAT (Peruvian Tax Administration) has joined the Tax Planning Expert Group of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OCDE), composed of a select group of tax administrations, which promotes international cooperation through the exchange of information on aggressive tax planning schemes, detection methods and response strategies.

SUNAT may access the Aggressive Tax Planning directory which contains more than 400 schemes or evasion models that seek, among others, to take advantage of the gaps in the International Tax System to artificially transfer profits to places where there is little or no economic activity or taxes.

The purpose of this incorporation by SUNAT is to strengthen its ability to identify and control tax non-compliance (tax risk), improving its strategies to combat new modalities related to the improper displacement of profits and assuming the commitment to nurture the Board of Directors. Tax Planning with casuistry related to its review functions, guaranteeing the tax reservation, confidentiality and correct use of the information.
