The Spanish firms Auxadi and Cases Lacambra organized ‘Investing in the U.S.: how to structure, protect and grow capital in times of change’ in Miami on April 9. The Florida headquarters of the law firm hosted the participation of four other collaborating entities: Nuvolar, GRAM, Bernstein Private Wealth Management, and Latam Investment Banking.

Six high-level strategic speakers provided their expertise on the entry of foreign capital into the United States:

  • Manrique Blen, Regional Director of LATAM at Auxadi
  • Enric Ripoll, Partner at Cases Lacambra
  • Víctor Domínguez, Country Manager at Nuvolar
  • Gloria Risso, Director – Head of Investments at GRAM
  • Raúl Markos, Wealth Advisor at Bernstein Private Wealth Management
  • Alessio Mazzanti, Managing Director at Latam Investment Banking

A conference for foreign companies

The round table, moderated by Manrique Blen and conducted entirely in English, began with a presentation by Enric Ripoll, who detailed the complexity of the U.S. legal framework. His analysis delved into the impact of regulatory reforms promoted during the Trump Administration and their relevance in the current ecosystem.

Raúl Markos evaluated the conditions of the U.S. market for receiving capital, highlighting the strategic role of jurisdictions such as Puerto Rico in family office management. In the same vein, Gloria Risso illustrated, through the success story of a family office in Miami, the growing diversification and resilience of the national economy.

In the technological field, Víctor Domínguez analyzed the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on go-to-market strategies. He emphasized how the agility and coordination provided by these tools are accelerating international expansion processes.

Finally, Alessio Mazzanti advocated for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategies as the most efficient way to access the market. During the conversation, it was agreed that acquiring local companies guarantees immediate consolidation of the corporate structure, avoiding the operational delays inherent in developing subsidiaries from scratch (greenfield investments).

The United States and entry into a versatile market

The U.S. market integrates strategic sectors with high international impact and projection; a competitiveness backed by both its geographical scale and its economic diversity.
