Last November 24th 2015, the Ministry of Finance, issued Decree 2243 by which the deadlines for submission of tax return were set. In this regard, several changes have been included concerning the tax calendar of 2015 set by the previous Decree 2623 in 2014.

The most important novelty is the disruption of the order of the last digits of the NIT with which maturities for different tax obligations are set. This means that taxpayers who used to declare in the last days of the month, now they will have to do it in the first days and vice versa.

In addition, there has been another major change regarding the submission of annual statement of assets abroad held until January 1st, 2016. The annual statement of 2015 expired last October, while for the tax year 2016 the expiration date to submit the statement of assets abroad will be the same as 2015.
