The director of the institution, Mr. Christian Melis, during the surrender of the Public Account 2015 announced the plan to double in the next four years the number of inspectors in occupational safety and health. Specifically, the proposed goal means the increase of 25,000 to 50,000 audits that include revisions implemented by companies to prevent the occurrence of accidents systems.

Currently, the national accident rate among affiliated mutual security workers is 3.7%, which means a reduction of 42% over a decade ago, when the rate rose to 6.4%.
