Five-year census
The five-year census refers to the years of the databases which end in zero (0) or five (5). According to the Circular 3,795, of June 16, 2016, must submit the statement referring to the five-year census:
• Legal entities located in the country, with the direct participation of non-residents in the capital in any amount as of December 31st of the fiscal year;
• Investment funds with non-resident shareholders, at December 31st of the base year, through their administrators; and
• Legal entities located in the country, with a total balance of short-term credit (payable in up to 360 days) granted by non-residents or above the equivalent of US $ 1 million, at December 31st of the fiscal year.
Census 2016 (base year 2015)
The period of the census statement 2016 (base year 2015) starts on July 1st until August 15th, 2016. The schedule is defined by Circular 3,795, of June 16th, 2016.
Annual census
The annual census refers to the base year dates that are not produced in the Five-Year census. According to the Circular 3,795, of June 16th, 2016, must submit the statement for the annual census:
• Legal persons located in the country, with the direct participation of non-residents in the capital in any amount, and net worth not less than the equivalent of US $ 100 million at 31st of December of the base year;
• Investment funds with non-resident partners and equal or exceeding the equivalent of US $ 100 million in the base year at December 31st, through its administrators; and
• Legal entities located in the country, with a total balance of short-term credit (payable in up to 360 days) granted by non-residents or above the equivalent of US $ 10 million at December 31st of the fiscal year.
