The National Minimum Wage Commission released on December 19th, through the Official Federal Gazette (DOF), the new minimum wages effective from January 1st 2017.
The general minimum wage consists of three elements: the first, the general minimum in force in 2016 (73.04 MXN / day); the second, the Independent Recovery Amount (MIR) of MXN 4.00 / daily and the third, corresponding to a 3.9% increase over the sum of the two previous components (3.00 MXN / day).
